YouTube imbalanced business policy

YouTube and its imbalanced business policy

I have been using YouTube for long time, but I have never thought of uploading my videos on this platform. Although, many years ago, I uploaded some commercial videos, but I have never posted my own created videos on YouTube. Recently, I have started uploading my own videos on YouTube on trial basis. Just to check if my videos get any popularity at all. To be honest, it’s not easy to get many views.

There are tons of works and time involves creating videos, editing them, posting them and doing marketing of your video. When I say marketing, it means writing articles, creating back links on various sites, doing research for right keywords, liaison with many people on social media and post writings on those platforms. It’s very time consuming and huge tasks involve. Besides that, if you are new, you also need to learn many videos and content editing software which is also very time consuming and stressful. Even after doing all these hard works, you might get hardly any views and subscribers. It’s a long hour job, you need to spend 10 to 15 hours a day without getting paid.

Many people complained in various blog articles and social media, even creating the quality video doesn’t attract viewers as YouTube algorithm mainly favours big companies only. When a big company post their videos, they get millions of views within a day whereas small YouTube video creators hardly gets any views and subscribers.

I have read many complains about YouTube that they are getting greedy as they advertise on the newly created channel videos to keep the 100% revenue share. Here I want to mention that YouTube don’t need to share the revenue unless a channel become a YouTube partner. To become a partner, YouTube made their requirements very difficult. You need to have 1000 SUBSCRIBERS and 4000 Hours views in the last twelve months. Organic and legitimate way to achieve this target is pretty hard as people/viewers don’t tend to SUBSCRIBE the video so easily. Also, it looks like YouTube itself blocking new creators to get Subscribers by disable the Subscribe Button in their videos. I have explained this at the bottom of this writing that why I feel that YouTube is manipulating their stats.

YouTube ad revenue share strategy is pretty imbalance for the new channels. A video maker spends long hours to create a video and upload it on YouTube but don’t receive a dime from an advertisement unless they become a YouTube partner. That’s really uncivilized act in this modern day. If YouTube do not want to share the ad revenue, they should not include any advertisement on any new channel’s video. I tried to turn off the Ad on my YouTube video by following the step mentioned Google support site but looks like YouTube removed this option and not letting me to turn off the Ad despite I don't get any revenue share from their advertisement on my video. As I don't get any revenue at all from the advertisement of my video that I created wasting my long hours work  YouTube treating people very badly and getting greedy on putting advertisement on the video that they don't need to share the revenue at all. That's really shoddy business policy. In the name of copy right violation they are keep blocking peoples video but on the other hand YouTube is making money on other people's creation without paying a single dime to them. That's a double standard and doesn't reflect their copyright violation policy at all. Making revenue on someone else creation without sharing the revenue is pretty gross and copyright violation too.
Any new creator  can challenge this in the court and YouTube will loose this argument regardless how much money they are going to spend on this type of litigation.

If YouTube still want to advertise on new channel’s video, they can make these channels their partner immediately regardless meeting the partnership requirements. Otherwise, keep the channels ad revenue share in their account until they become the partner. For example, YouTube can still advertise on a new channel video but keep video makers revenue share in their account, so that they can get paid the ad revenue share once the new channel become partner. Even if any new channel can't become the partner for some reason, their ad revenue fund should be released after a certain period of time i.e., twelve months or less. There is no way to contact with YouTube as they don’t have any email address or phone number. Hence, writing this post to request YouTube considering their revenue share policy for the new channel.

Also, I have noticed YouTube delete the video in the name of nudity of beach video which shows nothing but normal beach life. On the other hand, in their platform, they have many similar beach videos available or even porn stars nudity available. If YouTube really hard on nudity guideline or don’t like the normal beach life video from new channel, then why they are advertising porn star who sells nothing but adult pornography on internet and why there are many other beach life videos still available on YouTube! However, if there is any video content violate YouTube guideline, they should send a notice to content maker remove the certain scene of their video and reupload it rather than just deleting the content from the platform.

Besides that, I have noticed that YouTube stats doesn't work properly. For example, yesterday I have seen my total view hours are much more than today's view hours. Some of my video views are also reduced down. How my total hours and video views gets reduced down than the previous day instead of increasing.

Also, my subscription rate according to my video views are really poor. I have asked few people on social media to SUBSCRIBE my channel and they confirmed me they did but unfortunately the number was not reflecting on my total subscription number. Some of them complained, they were not able to Subscribe the video as the SUBSCRIBE button was disable. It is quite frustrating that a large video platform organisation like YouTube, disable the Subscribe button or manipulate their statistics of new creators videos for not sharing the Ad revenues with them.

Nonetheless, as mentioned before, there is no way to contact with YouTube. Therefore, here I am requesting YouTube to reconsider their nudity and ad revenue share policy guideline for all new channels and maintain the same standard for all channels.

Hope YouTube will consider my above suggestions and the common sense will prevail.
