I recently created a YouTube channel called NewZest Media using my Google account and have started uploading videos. Although I’ve been watching YouTube for over twenty years, I only began posting my own content in August of this year. In the past, I did create a few commercial videos for a property site and a travel comparison website, but since August, I’ve been sharing unedited, raw footage showcasing my personal travel experiences, music performances, cooking adventures, and even some funny baby moments.

At first, I thought uploading videos would be pretty easy and that I’d quickly gain lots of views. But once I started, I realized it’s far more complex than I initially imagined, especially if you want your videos to reach a wide audience. Going viral doesn’t just happen by chance; it requires a tremendous amount of effort.
It’s not just about having a good camera to record; creating quality video content involves extensive research, careful editing, and the right equipment. You’ll need a good video camera, a laptop or desktop with at least 1 to 2 TB of storage, various camera and computer accessories, and reliable video and photo editing software.
Most importantly, patience is key. Preparing, recording, and editing your videos can take long hours, and there’s a steep learning curve when it comes to editing skills and marketing your content effectively. On top of all that, you’re investing significant time and money upfront, often without any immediate financial return.
